designer polywood patio furniture

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where is this patio furniture made?

Our friends and family at Berlin Gardens, LLC manufactures everything you see at the Polywood Collection.  Located in Berlin, Ohio, Berlin Gardens is the heart of a vast Amish community. In fact, the furniture has been designed by Amish craftsmen, and the factory is staffed mostly by Amish men.  It doesn't get any more made-in-America than that.

2.  Is it really made from recycled milk cartons?

Yes. Each pound of poly-lumber is derived from ten milk cartons. A typical Adirondack chair, for instance, weighs 20lbs, and thus is made of 200 milk cartons that would otherwise be polluting landfills across this great land.

3.  Does it feel like it's made from recycled milk cartons? Does it feel cheap?

No. It doesn't feel like the cheap plastic patio furniture at most retail outlets. Some believe it actually feels like polished lumber. It's heavy, solid, and high quality. If you wanted cheap furniture, frankly, you wouldn't be shopping here. This stuff is built to look great and stand up to solid use for over decades, which is why we can back it with a 20-year warranty.

4. How do I clean it?

Just spray it down with a hose. If you feel the need, you can use a light detergent.  You'll find that water beads up nicely on the furniture, just like a newly waxed automobile. It's easy-to-care for, which means you can spend more time enjoying your outdoor green spaces and less time maintaining it.
